The National Education Policy (2020) lays great emphasis on improving and enhancing the mental health of students. This can be fulfilled only with the involvement and participation of schools by engaging the services of School Counsellors who, apart from providing necessary career guidance to graduating students, help provide necessary support for the proper socio-emotional development of students, as well as addressing their serious behavioural issues.
